Ohh-Livia!!

Wondering what this is? Well, our little artist Olivia drew us a nice BIG picture on the couch! She came to let me know she was sorry that she had "accidentally" wrote on the couch BUT it was Lilly's fault for not giving her some paper. It is NEVER boring around our house with Olivia around!

Yup, she is wearing a lamp shade on her head!

It's impossible to be mad at her though, she's just too cute and sweet!
I am learning to "expect the unexpected", especially when Lilly comes to me and says,
"Mama, your not going to belive what Oliva is doing now".

A Great Weekend

First of all, I have to say I have been blessed with a wonderful husband!! This weekend and Mother's Day was great! Chris and the girls have made me feel so special, loved and spoiled. Saturday was a very relaxing day, not much going on. Chris and the girls went out for about an hour and a half. I had the house all to myself! I forgot how quiet it can be when your all alone. After dinner they gave me my gifts and cards for Mother's Day. They were going to wait until Sunday (Mother's Day) but decided to go ahead because Sunday's for us are very busy. Sunday morning didn't start off so great. I wasn't feeling good and hadn't gotten much sleep. I think I'm definately in the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy. By the way, I am now 32 weeks!! After we got to the Grange Hall I got busy helping set up which took my  mind off of not feeling well. Chris preached the morning message on Hannah in 1Samuel and compared her to the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31. The Lord really showed me some things I could change or work on in my life as a mother and wife. I was very motivated to be a more Godly example to my girls. Later on Sunday evening, the Waldrons came over. Chris made 3 pizzas AND peach cobbler! Yum Yum Yum!!! He made my favorite and requested pesto veggie, a combination pizza for Sharon and another pesto veggie. My man can cook some pizza! I belive his mother passed on this talent for which I am extremely thankful. We also had a friendly game of scrabble. What a great weekend!

The coolest, awesomest husband in the whole world!!

Pesto sauce, broccoli, roasted red peppers, onions
This is my absolute favorite pizza!!

Red sauce, olives, sausage, green bell pepper, mushrooms
and onion on a thick crust.

Pesto sauce, tomato, mushroom and onion.

Peach Cobbler, YUM! We also had vanilla ice cream!

They say the funniest things...

My girls that is. A couple of years ago I started writing down the funny things they say just to look back and have a good laugh and to remember. Before long I might just have a whole book! Lilly has even moved on from just saying words in a funny way to actually making up her own words! For example, here lately she's been using this word, spinge or spinch. This word is used for something small. She's been learning in her english pace about comma's. She says a comma is like a spinch. This word can also be used for small amounts of something. For example, she asked for some more milk but only a spinch of it. What will she come up with next I wonder? Thats a question I think many mothers ask themselves, what will they do or say next. Lilly also let us know that she has big BIG plans for when she grows up. She would like to work at Walmart! This is not a joke she is serious about this. So of course we ask why do you want to do that? She goes on to explain that it looks like so much fun to scan the items (because it makes that ding noise) and then they get to put the items in bags on that spinning thing. For a 6 year old I can see where that looks like it would be fun.

One thing that I am excited about is Lilly wants to learn how to play the piano. A while back we were blessed to find a free piano! It's in good condition just in need of tuning. So we had a piano tuner come over and give it a tune up the other day. Olivia wanted to watch the man work and so her daddy told her she could as long as she stayed out of the way and quiet. If you know Olivia, you know she is very much incapable of staying still or quiet for any amount of time. So of course she wasn't able to watch for very long and was sent downstairs where I was. She came down (lips pooched out and arms crossed), flops herself down on the couch and apparently that wasn't a good enough flop because she stands up and does it again. I calmly ask, "Olivia whats wrong"? She said very sadly, "Daddy won't let me watch the man fix our planow"!! She still calls the piano a planow no matter how many times we correct her. I had such a hard time keeping a straight face on that one. The other funny thing she said that day as I was cutting her up an apple, she asked me to make sure I cut out all the nuts (seeds!). Haha!

I know it is very challenging at times and stressful being a mom but its moments like these and the funny things they say and do that make it all worth it. Espeially when they hug you tightly and tell you how much they love you. So far Olivia says she loves me 100! I think that't the biggest number she knows. What an amazing thing and blessing it is being a mom!!
