Just a Tuesday

Today feels like a monday...but it's not it's just a tuesday. The plan for the day was to catch up on all the laundry that I have gotten wayy behind on. :(  When we first moved into the house I noticed that my wonderful extra large washing machine was leaking. We thought that the tub had gotten off track from the move, so Chris worked on it and it stopped leaking. Now almost a year later it has decided to leak again, way more than it leaked before might I add. So Chris again worked on it but hasn't been able to get it to stop leaking so far. I have been putting towls down to soak up the water leaking out and doing small loads because they don't seem to leak as much. We have also found out there is no local washer repair person that can come look at it, they are about an hour or so away AND the person Chris talked to said our washer is going to be very expensive to fix, blaaah. Anyhow with the leaking and being so busy with the kiddos and everything else, the laundry has gotten backed up. So I got ALL the laundry seperated and ready to be washed and went to start the first load and wouldn't you know we are out of laundry detergent!!

Huh?!

For a while now I have wanted to change some things on my blog. I haven't had time to do much else besides post pictures and such  here and there. I just couldn't help it.... today every minute I've had to get on the computer I have tried to do something to my blog. Why I have done this while Kali is on vacation and in another state I do not know. She helped me when I first started the blog and any time I have had a question. (Thanks Kali) Sooo, please bare with me while I try to figure out what I'm doing OR while I wait till Kali gets back and shows me how to fix what I've done wrong, haha.

Not again!!

This is Chip aka "Chipper". He has a problem... and
me being his owner it has become my problem! He is
a hoarder/pack rat, not sure what else you could call it.

This is underneath my bed! It takes about a week for it to get like this.
No matter how hard we try to keep all things picked up or bathroom doors closed
he always finds a way to get into everything.
This is not even that bad, it has been way worse than this before.

4 socks, 2 pencils, an envelope, hair clip, a thumb tack, a house shoe
and tons of shredded up napkins, paper towels and toilet paper.
We may need to plan an intervention or take out an ad in the paper
for a free dog...just kidding. :))

More Baby Samuel Pics

Here are some more pictures of Samuel from just after he was born through today. Isn't it hard not to take pictures of such a cute little guy.

This was shortly after he was born and the first time in
his Momma's arms

And the first time in Daddy's arms

This was today and his first bath at home

Lilly was a big help

These were taken on Tuesday after Chris picked up the girls
from the Waldron's. They were very excited to see their

A Sweet Blessing

Saturday, June 25th at 9pm God blessed us with a healthy baby boy, Samuel James Majors! He was 9 pounds and 21 inches long.

Birthday Girl

"I was three but now I'm four!" That was Olivia's favorite saying of the day, haha. I'm pretty sure she had a great birthday today, because several times I heard her say, "This is the best day ever!!".  Especially when Chris left to go pick up the princess cake she picked out.

The girls picked out some water guns and they mostly watered the rocks and plants around the house.
Then they found out how much fun it was to run around squirting each other.

Olivia got a book called, What will I be when I grow up? from her Grandpa and Grandma Book that her and Lilly both loved! Olivia says she wants to be a super hero and Lilly wants to be a hair stylist.
Thanks G&G Book!

We got the girls a pool to play in. They kept getting in and out so much there was tons of grass floating around in the water but they didn't seem to mind at all.

There was some folks that came over from Oak Harbor for the Prophecy Conference this weekend, so we all went over to the Waldron's for dinner. We had some grilled burgers and Olivia's birthday cake!

Trip to Oak Harbor

This last Sunday after the morning church services we headed over the North Cascades to Oak Harbor for Chris's graduation from the Bible Institute. The drive was sooo beautiful and the girls did really good on the drive. I am so thankful the pass was open and we didn't have to go around the longer way over Steven's Pass. I would take a 3-4 hour drive over a 6-7 hour drive any day. Some of the pictures were taken from inside the van on my phone so they aren't that great. There is so much to blog about our trip but I'm going to keep it rather short. It took me forever to be able to sit down to blog at all. I think I may have the nesting thing going on. I'm almost 38 weeks now!!

There are many little waterfalls along the way.

My pics of the graduation didn't come out so great. Very blurry for some reason.

On the way back home we stopped at a kind of creepy little town called Newhaven. They supply a big percent of electricity to Seattle.

We were standing on a bridge, the above pic is of a waterfall, the pic below is looking down over the bridge. Im not afraid of heights but it was a little unnerving looking so down with the high mountains around us and the loud sound of the waterfall.

Ohh-Livia!!

Wondering what this is? Well, our little artist Olivia drew us a nice BIG picture on the couch! She came to let me know she was sorry that she had "accidentally" wrote on the couch BUT it was Lilly's fault for not giving her some paper. It is NEVER boring around our house with Olivia around!

Yup, she is wearing a lamp shade on her head!

It's impossible to be mad at her though, she's just too cute and sweet!
I am learning to "expect the unexpected", especially when Lilly comes to me and says,
"Mama, your not going to belive what Oliva is doing now".

A Great Weekend

First of all, I have to say I have been blessed with a wonderful husband!! This weekend and Mother's Day was great! Chris and the girls have made me feel so special, loved and spoiled. Saturday was a very relaxing day, not much going on. Chris and the girls went out for about an hour and a half. I had the house all to myself! I forgot how quiet it can be when your all alone. After dinner they gave me my gifts and cards for Mother's Day. They were going to wait until Sunday (Mother's Day) but decided to go ahead because Sunday's for us are very busy. Sunday morning didn't start off so great. I wasn't feeling good and hadn't gotten much sleep. I think I'm definately in the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy. By the way, I am now 32 weeks!! After we got to the Grange Hall I got busy helping set up which took my  mind off of not feeling well. Chris preached the morning message on Hannah in 1Samuel and compared her to the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31. The Lord really showed me some things I could change or work on in my life as a mother and wife. I was very motivated to be a more Godly example to my girls. Later on Sunday evening, the Waldrons came over. Chris made 3 pizzas AND peach cobbler! Yum Yum Yum!!! He made my favorite and requested pesto veggie, a combination pizza for Sharon and another pesto veggie. My man can cook some pizza! I belive his mother passed on this talent for which I am extremely thankful. We also had a friendly game of scrabble. What a great weekend!

The coolest, awesomest husband in the whole world!!

Pesto sauce, broccoli, roasted red peppers, onions
This is my absolute favorite pizza!!

Red sauce, olives, sausage, green bell pepper, mushrooms
and onion on a thick crust.

Pesto sauce, tomato, mushroom and onion.

Peach Cobbler, YUM! We also had vanilla ice cream!

They say the funniest things...

My girls that is. A couple of years ago I started writing down the funny things they say just to look back and have a good laugh and to remember. Before long I might just have a whole book! Lilly has even moved on from just saying words in a funny way to actually making up her own words! For example, here lately she's been using this word, spinge or spinch. This word is used for something small. She's been learning in her english pace about comma's. She says a comma is like a spinch. This word can also be used for small amounts of something. For example, she asked for some more milk but only a spinch of it. What will she come up with next I wonder? Thats a question I think many mothers ask themselves, what will they do or say next. Lilly also let us know that she has big BIG plans for when she grows up. She would like to work at Walmart! This is not a joke she is serious about this. So of course we ask why do you want to do that? She goes on to explain that it looks like so much fun to scan the items (because it makes that ding noise) and then they get to put the items in bags on that spinning thing. For a 6 year old I can see where that looks like it would be fun.

One thing that I am excited about is Lilly wants to learn how to play the piano. A while back we were blessed to find a free piano! It's in good condition just in need of tuning. So we had a piano tuner come over and give it a tune up the other day. Olivia wanted to watch the man work and so her daddy told her she could as long as she stayed out of the way and quiet. If you know Olivia, you know she is very much incapable of staying still or quiet for any amount of time. So of course she wasn't able to watch for very long and was sent downstairs where I was. She came down (lips pooched out and arms crossed), flops herself down on the couch and apparently that wasn't a good enough flop because she stands up and does it again. I calmly ask, "Olivia whats wrong"? She said very sadly, "Daddy won't let me watch the man fix our planow"!! She still calls the piano a planow no matter how many times we correct her. I had such a hard time keeping a straight face on that one. The other funny thing she said that day as I was cutting her up an apple, she asked me to make sure I cut out all the nuts (seeds!). Haha!

I know it is very challenging at times and stressful being a mom but its moments like these and the funny things they say and do that make it all worth it. Espeially when they hug you tightly and tell you how much they love you. So far Olivia says she loves me 100! I think that't the biggest number she knows. What an amazing thing and blessing it is being a mom!!
